Lisa Tyrrell

My interest in yoga began in 2015, shortly after my sister passed away. I was desperate for something to help me sort through my pain and grief. Unbeknownst to me, this something was to be yoga which illuminated a path I did not know existed. In 2019 this unknown path led me to my first in-studio experience and in 2020 the real journey began as I completed my teacher training becoming an RYT 200 just as the pandemic began to unfold. Through the years I have continued my quest for yogic knowledge becoming certified in Reiki 1 and 2, Children’s Yoga with a Trauma Informed Focus and now currently working on obtaining my Yoga Therapy Certification through Corwell Health.

Yoga is not only a passion of mine, it has become a way of life. It has transformed my mind and body, renewed my spirit and restored my faith in myself and my mission. Yoga has led me on an exploration of my soul and helped me release the layers of myself I no longer need. Most importantly, it has helped me to heal my heart, bringing me back to me and who I was meant to be. It is this I want to share with the world, it is this that has become my mission. I want to help others heal their hearts; iIn turn, healing the planet – one heart at a time

CLASS DESCRIPTION:

Basic Yoga
This class is designed with the Beginning Yogi in mind. In this class you will learn the basics of
breath, body awareness, and asana (yoga postures) all while beginning to improve your
flexibility, balance, and strength. A yoga class suitable for all levels with modifications made
available to either bring the practice up or down a notch.

Living Well Chair Yoga
This is not your average chair yoga class. This class offers elements of flexibility, balance, and
strength to ensure we can continue doing what we love as we age. This chair yoga class
incorporates standing postures, light aerobic activity, and some strength building with light
weights and/or bands. It is a creative chair yoga class suitable for everyone and a great starting
point for anyone.

Slow Flow
This is a vinyasa based yoga class designed around breath and movement to improve your
flexibility, balance, and strength both in mind and body. You will flow through a range of poses,
some being gentle and others more challenging. A yoga class suitable for all levels with
modifications made available.

Yoga Nidra
Yoga Nidra, or “yogic sleep,” is known for its restorative effects on the mind and body; allowing
the practitioner to go into a deep state of relaxation. This class is perfect for anyone who is
looking for a way to rest and relax the mind, body, and spirit. We will begin with a short, gentle
Yin Yoga practice to allow the body to loosen up and unwind. From there the real relaxation
begins. All that will be required of you is the willingness to relax, allowing yourself to be guided
on a journey into “conscious sleep.”

Yoga Sculpt
If you are looking for more than a traditional yoga class, then this class is for you. Yoga Sculpt
combines traditional yoga poses with light weights, resistance exercises, and bursts of cardio.
This combination helps to increase calorie burn, improve overall fitness, all while maintaining
the flow and breathwork of yoga.

My Adult and Me
If you are looking for a class for both you and the child in your life look no further. This
Adult/Child Yoga Class will give you the opportunity to bond with your child through
mindful movement, breathwork, and relaxation techniques. For the child ages 7-12,
yoga can help support the development of motor skills, body awareness, flexibility, and
balance. For the adult, it can help strengthen and tone muscles, reduce stress, and build
connections within a community of like minded people. The focus is on the shared
experience, promoting physical wellness, emotional balance, and strengthening the
parent-child connection through movement.
