My Why & How I Can Help You
As a former collegiate athlete and varsity softball coach, fitness has always been woven into who I am — but my relationship with my body became something much deeper after a difficult four-and-a-half years where medication caused significant weight gain and, with it, a real loss of confidence and mental health struggles.
Getting off that medication was the beginning of rediscovering myself, but with a far greater appreciation for what my body can do. That experience is what drives everything I do as a coach.
I'm a NASM Certified Personal Trainer finishing my NASM Nutrition Certification, and I believe in hybrid fitness — strength training and cardiovascular health together — because neither alone is the full picture.
Nutrition is about fueling your body, never restricting it. Eat the ice cream! Eat the pizza! And also embrace the discipline that makes you stronger, because both things are true. Most programs fail because they aren't sustainable — and that's exactly what I'm not here to do. I lead with grace, gentleness, and a whole lot of encouragement (and sarcasm, if you're into that!). I believe in lifting people up, not breaking them down.
But my biggest "why" is longevity: training so that when you're older, you can carry your groceries, lift your grandchildren, walk your dog, and live independently — with energy left over for everything that makes life worth living.

In regards to my personal life, I moved to Wisconsin from Michigan in 2015, and live here with my husband and our four-legged child, Rosie, our sweet and sour chihuahua. I love reading, creative writing, movies, board games and computer games, red wine, and crafting. I work in communications, plan on entering my first Hyrox race this fall, and dream of writing a book and moving to Scotland to live on the coast with a dozen senior chihuahuas (and my husband can come, I suppose - lol).
